A San Francisco Affair

Vanessa Traina’s wedding to Maxwell Snow is one of those fairy tale weddings that one has to really see to believe. Lucky for us, Vogue’s November issue captured the entire event beautifully. For those of you don’t know, Vanessa Traina is the daughter of novelist Danielle Steel. She has incredible taste (she was a former model and now is a contributing fashion editor for T: The New York Times Style Magazine) and that taste shows through in every small detail of her wedding. We love this wedding for so many reasons but for starters, we love it because it was intimate. Traina could have had a large society wedding, but instead she chose a small gathering of close family and friends at her mother’s Pacific Heights home in San Francisco. She had a couture wedding dress designed by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy Haute Couture which was nothing short of exquisite (it was inspired by his Fall 2010 Haute Couture Collection) as well as a black-and-rose gold engagement ring designed by James de Givenchy (a nephew of Hubert) which was a showstopper as well. Guests dined in the home’s ballroom and danced the night away in what looked like a real-life fairytale.
